Restorative & Cosmetic

Restoring a smile can be complete for many reasons. If you are missing one or many teeth, this does not only affect your appearance, it can also affect your speech and jaw movements; this can ultimately affect your entire body health.

If you are looking to improve your smile, it doesn’t always have to be for health reasons, you may just not be happy with a particular aspect. Cosmetic dentistry incorporates all aspects of dentistry to create an aesthetically enhanced appearance and allow you to look and feel better.

Preventive Services

Prevention is better than cure and this is nowhere more true than with your dental care. Attending a regular 6 monthly check up and clean with your dentist will allow any problems to be addressed early and avoid not only poor dental health but also large dental bills.

During this appointment we will advise you of any treatment which ideally needs to be completed and organise a treatment plan for you detailing everything you need to know. Your teeth will be given a thorough clean and polish to remove any build up of tartar and stubborn stains. Other preventative services we can offer you are:

Endodontic

Previously, if you had a tooth with a diseased nerve, more than likely you would have lost the tooth. Today, with a procedure called Root Canal Therapy (RCT) we may be able to save that tooth.

Inside each tooth is a nerve/s, which provide nutrients and sensations to your tooth. It runs like a pipe down through the root of the tooth. If bacteria enters the nerve chamber then this will kill the nerve tissues, and your tooth will eventually become infected and ultimately you could loose it.

Some common reasons for bacteria reaching the nerve chamber are:

  • a cracked filling that has been left untreated
  • decayed tooth
  • trauma to the tooth
  • fractured tooth
